The PIAF Connect Command
The PIAF Connect Command
- CONNECT
- PIAFRONT fires up the Server and N Slaves on the users behalf
- Each Slave opens a log file (the log file is in the users $HOME directory on one of the PIAF system disks)
- The Server multicasts the group view to the Slaves
- The user receives a welcome message, and is told the number of Slaves allocated to him
- The PIAFS Server sits waiting for a user (Client) command on the socket
- The Slaves sit waiting for instructions on individual sockets to the Server
- The Server and Slaves all run their own copies of PAW (the Server will handle some commands such as the writing of nTuples)
