CMS events H ? ee?? in ODBMS (sizes,times, etc.)
We generate an ASCII file from CMSIM 113 output containing tracker and ECAL information (HCAL, muons etc. will be added later
)
ASCII data is ~250 kBytes per event
Each simulated event in the file has
- ~2500 tracker hits
- ~300 ECAL crystals with energy
Objy database of raw data is ~1 Mbyte per event
Reconstructing the tracks takes ~3 minutes per event (yielding ~50 tracks)
No reconstruction of low Pt tracks
- (Reconstructing energy clusters is very fast)
The reconstructed data adds ~1 Mbyte per event
These preliminary figures indicate great care must be taken in avoiding a bloating of the ODBMS after reconstruction ...
